Description
This  is for
Two Space Age Metal Toys.
The first item is a
SCHYLLING COLLECTOR SERIES LE 1998 SPACE SAUCER Z-1 FRICTION POWERED TIN TOY.
Nice model of a Flying Saucer UFO.  Looks to be in Great condition that was used basically as a display model.  This was not a cheapie and cost almost when originally purchased.
The bottom of the box has the following information:
"SCHYLLING: COLLECTOR SERIES TIN TOYS ARE INSPIRED BY THE TOYS OF THE PAST. THESE TOYS ARE MADE TODAY USING THE SAME TIME HONORED TECHNIQUES THAT WERE EMPLOYED BY TOY MAKERS OF A BYGONE ERA. EACH TOY STARTS AS A SHEET OF METAL WHICH IS PRINTED AND THEN CUT INTO MANY SEPARATE PIECES WHICH ARE THEN HAND ASSEMBLED TO CREATE A SINGLE FINISHED TIN TOY.  BECAUSE THIS IS SUCH A LABOR INTENSIVE PROCESS, IT IS EASY TO SEE TO SEE WHY TIN TOY PRODUCTION WAS QUICKLY ABANDONED WHEN PLASTIC MOLDING WAS DEVELOPED.  NOW, THESE TOYS ARE SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS AROUND THE WORLD."
The second item is a
ROBOT-7 MECHANICAL WALKING.
