    Rare Old Lopah Petawaran Dagger, North Sumatra - 19C
    This particular Lopah Petawaran variant commonly found on Batak Karo tribe, other variant with handle curving upward ( as rencong hilt )  usually found on Gayo peoples.
    On karo society, such dagger also called as
    piso cukur
    , literally translate as "hair cutter" since it used on cutting baby`s hair on baby 1 month ceremony.
    Straight traditional forged blade with single sharped edge.
    Wooden scabbard upper parts nicely encased with silver , adorned with traditional karo pattern.
    Hilt fully encased silver , also decorated with traditional karo decorative pattern
