  • Condition: Tape head bracket. Works for the Mego 2-xl unit and other 8 track players like Sanyo 8020A etc. Not sure what other models it will work with. Please look at the photos and match it up with what you need. You may get one that has a crack repair but all of them will work for you. I have been replacing these in various machines for years. I know it is an exact match for the Mego 2-xl and the Sanyo RD 8020A. The unit is used but was tested while still installed in a 2-xl. Was removed from a unit that had other issues. Everything was serviced on it while it was working in a 2-xl unit that has other issues not related to the deck. You get what is pictured in the first gallery picture. I have every part for these 2-xl's so please just ask if you don't see what you need. I will create a listing just for you if I have to for any other parts you need.

    You are buying a used but tested 8 Track tape head bracket. Works for all types 1 or 2 Mego Models and on the Sanyo RD 8020A Tape Player/Recorder and other models as well. You would have to match this part at your own risk. Was serviced while in a working unit with other issues before it was removed to be sold. It is calibrated for a Mego 2-xl unit so you will have to adjust it when installing in other brands where it fits. I have a 2-XL shop where I can repair, fix and tune up 2-XL's and 8 track players like new.
    I spend a lot of time on each unit. I own my own company and do it as a hobby. When considering my time and costs I'm not really making any money just the satisfaction from the hobby.
