Rotate-O-Matic Super Astronaut SJM-3006. Condition is "Used"
This is my childhood toy. It is in good physical condition overall as seen in the pictures. The battery bay is clean and in good condition. I feel like the batteries could fit a little tighter than they did. The one negative: it seems like the glue holding one side of the waist needs to be re-done. I took a close up photo of this and you can see there is an open space where you can see the insides. The other side is still glued together and is enough to keep the waist (Between Torso and Legs) intact.
I would say the robot is in poor mechanical condition. However, it does power up and move intermittently!!! It takes some manipulation, so it definitely needs some adjustments. It seems operate best while holding it in the air; that was when I saw it go through a couple full cycles properly. On the ground, I needed to give it light taps or a light squeeze on the battery door to coax it to keep moving. I do have a video from this week of it walking and working; but it only did the full cycle two times while I was showing it off. The rest of the attempts had several issues with power loss until you lightly tapped or squeezed on it to resume the cycle. I did take a picture of it walking towards me with the light shooting just now.
The box is in ok shape with the beautiful artwork in good visual condition. This toy of course takes two “D” Cell batteries, which I have removed for shipping.
