WowWee® Robotics Femisapien Interactive robot 15" 8001
Works. Tested 8/10/21. Some scuffs on paint no yellowing plastic. No manual. Included with batteries in bag and is not installed into the robot during shipment to avoid leakage.
Does not need a remote control as it is interactive from its hands being toggle control and IR sensors to detect object in fronts as well as responding when its laying flat down. Also programmable by touching the hands like a toggle switch and functions. Moving the head up or down activates different modes where it can walk around or also respond to commands and make poses. When the robot moves and hard movement of the arms sometimes it can make a clicking sound as its reaches its limit of movement. When batteries run low the movements run slower but helps conserve the servo motors and prevent it from reaching its limit of movement from battery power. The arms can go off alignment slightly as the arms are linked with movement of the hands and in turn the head moves along with he arms.
The Learning mode in the head down position allows for custom movement when you move the robot's body it would register and "remember" up to 80 movements but its actually about half that. Once the robot is off the stored movements are wiped however.
The Responsive mode is head forward in the normal position between the down and up head position. This allows for the robot to roam automatically and can also be programmed to moved around and follows a set path when doing so. The IR sensor can detect objects in front of it which is at least chest level minimum. Has no other capabilities to stop before a sharp decline, please be aware of its location when using the feature. You can also say phrases that it can recognize from the manual and gives a pre-programmed reaction.
The Attentive mode is the head up position and allows more interactive movement by pressing the toggles on the robot's hands either left,right, down or up. Can unlock more features when using both such lowering or raising the robot's speaker volume by pressing right hand right + left hand right and more.
A special feature to this is that the robot can have a sneeze wound when moving the head up and down rapidly.
